Dear Mark,

I've been meaning to write for ages, but life has been so busy since I started my new job two weeks ago. I'm finally settling in, so I thought I'd tell you all about it.

I'm working as a graphic designer for a small advertising agency in the city centre. My days are very varied: I design posters and websites, and meet clients to discuss their ideas. There are only twelve of us, and everyone is friendly. My boss, Helen, is very supportive, and a funny guy called Tim always brings cakes on Fridays.

On the whole, I love it. The work is creative, the office is bright and modern, and I'm learning something new every day. The only things I don't like are the long hours when there's a deadline, and the commute, which takes almost an hour each way.

You'll have to come and see the office. We're on the fourth floor, and the view over the river is lovely. Why don't you drop by one lunchtime, and I'll take you for a sandwich afterwards?

Best wishes,
Owen
