Dear Mr Brandt,

I am writing to let you know that a friend of mine is going to move into the flat and share the rent with me, and I would like to make sure that everything is arranged properly.

His name is Oliver Grant, and I have known him for more than five years. He works as a software developer for a local company, so he has a steady income, and I am sure he would be a quiet and responsible tenant.

He plans to move in on Saturday 1 July, as the lease on his own flat ends at the end of June. From that date, we will share the rent equally, and I will continue to pay through the usual standing order.

Could you please tell me if any forms need to be signed, for example an addition to the tenancy agreement, or if you would need to meet him in person first?

Thank you for your help.

Yours sincerely,
Mikhail Sorokin
