Dear Mr Bennett,

I hope you are well. I am writing to invite you to a reunion for the class of 2015, which I am organising with several of my former classmates.

The reunion will be held on Saturday 14 September at the Riverside Hotel, beginning at 6 pm. We plan to start with a drinks reception, followed by a buffet dinner. Afterwards, we will look at old photographs, and there will be a short quiz about our school days. We expect around sixty former students to attend.

We would be delighted if you could join us. You were not only my favourite teacher but also the person who encouraged many of us to continue studying, and your lessons are still the first thing we talk about when we meet. It would mean a great deal to all of us to see you again and thank you in person.

Could you please let me know whether you can come by 20 August, so that I can confirm the numbers with the hotel?

I very much hope to hear from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Andrei Popescu
