Show model letter (160 words)

Dear Mrs Thompson,

As the course is coming to an end, our class has decided to organise a small party, and we would be delighted if you could join us.

We are planning a relaxed celebration with food and music. Everyone is going to bring a dish from their own country, so we shall have a wonderful variety to try. We have also prepared a short slideshow of photographs from the past year, and a few students will perform songs.

We would very much like you to be there because you have been a wonderful teacher. Your patience and enthusiasm made even the most difficult grammar enjoyable, and many of us feel more confident about speaking English because of your lessons.

The party will be held in Room 12 of the language school on Friday 20 June, starting at 6 pm and finishing at about 9 pm.

We all hope you will be able to come.

Yours sincerely,
Min-jun Park
