Dear Sir or Madam,

As chairperson of the Linden Road Residents' Committee, I am writing to invite you to a meeting about the parking problems in our neighbourhood.

The meeting will take place on Wednesday 12 March at 7 pm in the community hall on Church Street. It should last about an hour, and refreshments will be provided afterwards.

The main subject will be the shortage of parking spaces on our street. In recent months, many of us have found it hard to park near our homes, partly because of commuters who leave their cars here all day. We will discuss several possible solutions, including a residents' parking permit scheme, and we will also hear a short presentation from a representative of the local council. There will be time for everyone to ask questions and share their views.

Your opinion really matters. The more residents who attend, the stronger our case will be when we speak to the council, so I would encourage you to come and, if possible, bring a neighbour with you.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Yours faithfully,
Michael Brown
