Starting in primary school, when children learn most naturally, also makes the process easier and less stressful. Technology now offers free apps and online tutors that can support classroom teaching and let students practise at their own speed.

In conclusion, compulsory language learning develops the mind, improves job prospects and encourages cultural awareness. I therefore firmly agree that it should be part of every student's education.
