Dear Mr Collins,

I am sorry to raise something unpleasant, but a problem has been affecting me for some time.

For the last three weeks, there has been very loud music coming from your flat late at night, usually between 11 pm and 2 am, and mostly at weekends but sometimes during the week too. I can feel the bass through my bedroom wall.

It is having a serious effect on me. I have to get up at six for work, and I am now getting only a few hours of sleep, so I am exhausted during the day and finding it hard to concentrate.

I completely understand that you want to enjoy yourself in your own home. I wonder whether you could turn the volume down after 10.30 pm or use headphones late at night. I would be happy to talk about it in person if you prefer.

I hope we can solve this in a friendly way.

Best wishes,
Rebecca Stone
