Dear Mr Rossi,

I have just heard that there is still one place available on your Tuesday evening cookery class, and I am writing to ask whether I might take it.

I would like to join the class because I have recently started living on my own, and I find that my cooking is limited to a few simple dishes. I would like to learn to prepare healthier, more interesting meals, and the course appeals to me because it covers dishes from different countries.

My cooking experience is basic but real. I regularly cook for myself and for my friends, and I have made pasta, soups and a few stews. I also baked bread several times last winter, with varying success, and I am enthusiastic and eager to improve.

Could you tell me whether I need to bring anything to the first lesson? For instance, should I bring my own apron or knives, or is everything provided?

Thank you very much.

Best wishes,
Paolo Greco
