  1. Do you have a garden, or do you grow any plants?
  2. Do you enjoy looking after plants? [Why/Why not?]
  3. Did you ever grow anything when you were young?
  4. Is gardening popular in your country?
  5. Would you like to have a bigger garden in the future?

How to answer Part 1 questions

  • Answer the question, then add one reason or a short example.
  • Do not learn answers by heart. Part 1 is about you, and memorised answers sound memorised.
  • If a question asks why, say why. Short one-word answers cost fluency marks.
